Ofir Nahari - Master Clown

Join us on Sunday, Oct. 25 from 2-4 PM for a workshop at 7 Stages (FREE/donations accepted) with master clown performer Ofir Nahari

Thanks to a grant from Kennesaw State University and assistance from Israeli Consulate, Ofir Nahari will be hosting a workshop for the new co-production between 7 Stages and KSU, The Followers, written by Margaret Baldwin and directed by Michael Haverty, at both locations during the month of October. Based on Euripides’ The Bacchae, The Followers mixes Krump and clown into an aggressively transgressive physical language. Ofir plays Dionysus in The Followers and Ismail Ibn Connor (7 Stages artistic associate) is the Krump choreographer.

Blood for Blood

Join us for this FREE presentation and FREE local craft beer sponsored by Second Self!

Coming off of his success at Alliance Theatre with Hot Pink, or Ready to Blow (produced by The Weird Sisters Project), Johnny Drago brings his new play-in-development, BLOOD FOR BLOOD, to 7 Stages this Saturday, Oct. 24 at 2 PM as part of the Home Brew Series.

*Due to limited seating in the black box theatre, we recommend arriving early.

About the play:

Directed by Edith Freni

Cast includes: Theo Harness, Emily Kleypas, and Tom Rittenhouse

Following a whirlwind marriage and honeymoon tour, Iris and her husband Brock arrive at his family’s crumbling yet overstuffed ancestral estate in rural Georgia, where they intend to begin their new life together. Shortly after installing themselves in the attic, they discover that Iris is pregnant, a fact soon confirmed by Old Doctor Terry, the family’s longtime physician. As her condition advances, Iris begins piecing together the terrifying truth about her new husband, only to find that she must make a terrible choice: protect herself, or protect the very soul of her unborn child.

BLOOD FOR BLOOD is a Southern Gothic feminist horror tragedy, inspired in equal parts by Tennessee Williams’s The Seven Descents of Myrtle, Rosemary’s Baby, and the so-called “Women as Livestock” Bill, which passed in the Georgia state legislature in 2012.
